“To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”
– Henri Cartier-Bresson
During this time of the year I would always think of something new to do, to explore and to discover. I don’t like to waste so much free time just laying on my bed the whole day and do nothing. So each year, I would always aim to have a productive and unforgettable summer. besides from working with my grandfather, I would always take classes or programs that involves my skills and hobbies.
3 years ago, I took Photo 101 in one of the universities here in Iloilo.
And I’m proud to say that, that was the time I recognized my passion in photography.
I would always experience the joy that comes after setting up a shot and see
results that matches or exceeds my expectations.
I’m not really that good yet, Since I’m still in the process of
learning different techniques and developing my skills. Lately I’ve been practicing ( with the help of my photographer friends) and trying out new things. I really hope someday I could be a pro in the field and create world renowned photographs. (HAHAHA, someday!)
So what do you think of my photos? any questions, comments or advice you want to say just type it in the comment below or you could email me. I would really appreciate it
and I’d like to know more from you guys too.
One more thing, I would like to encourage you to stop slacking off and do something you really wanted to do but didn’t have time for it before, or try something new this summer. Don’t be afraid to take risks and commit mistakes. Because in life, it’s rarely about getting a chance; It’s about taking a chance. How would you know that you’re good at something if you don’t even try, right?
It may or may not work. But at least you tried. Remember that no matter what happens, It’s always either you succeed or you learn something about it. And I think its better than doing nothing at all.
Hope you’re having a great summer!
